future nostalgia +
Great wedding photography involves storytelling that delves into understanding and acknowledging the significance of every detail - the couple, the location, the key people, the traditions, the love. I add one bit of additional responsibility into this, too - what does nostalgia look like for you? In 15, 20, 40 years, as you look at your images, I want you to feel that nostalgia.
As you consider what makes you react and love an image, what do you notice?
There is a key element that makes for outstanding wedding photography, it's the roll of the silent heroes, the seasoned, insightful, creative, hospitality-driven planners. They play a monumental role. The most impactful images stem from events created to allow guests to fully engage their senses and experience a wedding. Planners make this happen. They create the environments that immerse guests in vivid, multi-sensory experiences that enrich the overall narrative of your day.
The design must weave your personality and guest experience together. Photography must appreciate the intent behind the design and capture the experience. In my eyes, you can't have one without the other.
